Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about treatment in India, hospital selection, costs, medical visas, travel and follow-up care.

01What is MedIndia Tours?

MedIndia Tours helps international patients connect with suitable doctors and hospitals in India. We coordinate medical-record reviews, appointments, treatment estimates, travel assistance and follow-up support.

02How do I begin my treatment journey?

Send us the patient’s latest medical reports, diagnostic images, current symptoms, previous treatment details and contact information. We will coordinate a preliminary review by an appropriate specialist.

03Which medical reports should I submit?

Please share recent MRI, CT, PET-CT or X-ray reports, blood tests, biopsy or pathology reports, discharge summaries, previous operation notes, current medicines and the treating doctor’s prescription. English reports are preferred.

04Can I consult an Indian doctor before travelling?

Yes. An online consultation may be arranged after a specialist reviews the medical records. It can help explain the proposed treatment, possible alternatives, estimated stay and expected cost.

05How do you select a doctor or hospital?

We consider the diagnosis, required specialty, treatment complexity, hospital facilities, doctor’s experience, location, expected cost and rehabilitation needs. Patients may also request a preferred doctor, hospital or city.

06Which treatments can you coordinate?

We coordinate care across orthopaedics, neuro and spine, cardiology, oncology, organ and bone-marrow transplantation, bariatric surgery, rehabilitation and selected regenerative treatments. Availability depends on specialist assessment.

07How much does treatment in India cost?

The cost depends on the diagnosis, procedure, hospital, doctor, implants, ICU or room stay, investigations, medicines and rehabilitation. A personalised estimate is prepared after medical-record review.

08Is the initial cost estimate final?

The initial estimate is based on available information. The final bill may change if additional tests, procedures, medicines, implants, hospital days or treatment for complications are required.

09How can I pay for treatment?

Payment methods differ by hospital and may include bank transfer, international cards or direct hospital payment. Confirm the accepted method and payment schedule before travelling.

10Do you provide medical visa assistance?

We can coordinate the hospital documents needed for a medical visa application. Visa approval remains subject to the rules and decision of the relevant Indian authorities.

11Can a family member travel with the patient?

Yes, subject to applicable passport and visa requirements. An attendant is especially recommended for children, older adults and patients with limited mobility or complex medical needs.

12Do you arrange airport pickup and accommodation?

Yes. Airport transfers, local transport and accommodation near the selected hospital can be coordinated according to availability, location and budget.

13How long will I need to stay in India?

The stay depends on the treatment, hospitalisation, recovery, rehabilitation and fitness to fly. Minor procedures may require a short stay, while complex treatment may require several weeks or longer.

14Are treatment results guaranteed?

No ethical medical provider can guarantee results. Outcomes vary with the diagnosis, disease severity, age, general health, treatment response and other clinical factors.

15Is rehabilitation available after surgery?

Yes. Depending on the condition, care may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, gait training, pain management, nutritional support or neurorehabilitation.

16How is follow-up managed after I return home?

Follow-up may be coordinated through online consultations and medical-report sharing with the treating team. Patients should also remain under the care of a qualified doctor in their home country.
